“This excursion was a wonderful way to learn about the culture and history of the Aran islands. Unfortunately, our excursion was cut down by an hour due to the ferry schedule and we did not get to go to the goat farm but Daniel was very gracious and gave us some of the products made on his farm to take with us. He was a wonderful guide and it was our favorite experience in Ireland.”

Aran knitting at Faerie Fort Farm near Galway, with heritage stories, cable-stitch practice, and Irish tea and cake in a 2-hour private class.

“This is an authentic Irish experience. Stephanie lives on a 209 year old family farm. She is a talented knitter and crafter. Her knowledge of the area’s history and of the knitting patterns for Aran sweaters is vast and quite interesting. She made brown bread with smoked salmon and coffee/tea for us. Delicious! The journey getting to her authentic farm was fun too. She was also a great teacher, having try knitting patterns and provided the patterns to us. Amazing!”
